Psychological Assessment of Adults:

I carry out the following assessments of adults:

  • Mental health problems and personality disorder
  • Learning disability, cognitive and executive functioning
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Extended assessments can take place over one or a number of meetings, depending on what is being assessed for. The process usually involves a combination of clinical interview and completion of psychometric measures. If the client gives their consent, information may also be gathered from people who know them well.

After an assessment, I write a report summarising the information gathered. The client can then choose who that information is given to.

For Court assessment services specifically, please refer to the Expert Witness page of my website.

Training:

I offer training packages in working with people with personality disorders. The package can be adapted to suit the needs of professionals working in their particular service. Please contact me (details provided in the top right of the screen) to discuss the needs of your service. I will then send a suggested outline of the training, and an estimation of cost.

I am a visiting lecturer at the university of Surrey where I lecture doctoral clinical and counselling psychology students in:

  • Personality disorders (theory)
  • Personality disorders (practice)
  • Personality disorders (therapeutic skills development)
  • The structure of the NHS.
